We suggest performing a health check using the list below on your pet monthly. You can help discover many problems early on, before they cause unnecessary pain, expense . . . . or worse. If the answer is "NO", please call you veterinarian right away. It is important to your pet's health.

| 11. is free from fleas, ticks, lice, and mites | |

| 14. doesn't shake its head or dig at its ears | |
| 15. has eyes that are bright, clear, and free of matter | |
| 16. has normal hearing and reacts as usual to its environment | |
| 17. walks without stiffness, pain, or difficulty | |
| 18. has healthy looking feet, and short nails (dewclaws too) | |
| 19. breathes normally, without straining or coughing | |
| 20. has a normal thirst and drinks in the usual amount and frequency | |
| 21. urinates in the normal amounts and frequency, color is normal | |
| 22. has a moist nose, free from discharge | |
| 23. has clean, white teeth, free from plaque, tartar, and bad breath | |
| 24. has gums that are pink with no redness, swelling, or offensive odor | |
| 25. has no offensive habits (biting, barking, digging, chewing, scratching, spraying) | |
| 26. is well housetrained; there is no offensive household pet odor |
